Homes constructed through the tireless efforts of the White Lake Build give first time homeowners a chance to buy a home with 0% interest and 20-year mortgage. Homeowners invest many hours of sweat equity in exchange for a traditional down payment. Applications for homes to be constructed in the Montague/Whitehall area are accepted at the Muskegon County Habitat for Humanity office with Diana Miller executive director, 231-727-6020.

Homes are built with generous donations of labor, funds and materials from individuals, faith communities, businesses and foundation grants. Currently, our White Lake Build will need $40,000 for each home build. Fundraisers include a Mexican Dinner, Tag Day, booth at the White Lake Area Arts & Crafts Festival, drawing for a quilt, yard sale, work at MI's Adventure, style show and luncheon, a Pasty sale with supper. In order to continue builds in the White Lake area, we must have property. This is an ongoing need!! If you have property or know of someone who may be willing to donate, please call Diana Miller at MCHFH. The donation is a tax deduction. Nothing is more rewarding than providing the land for a family in need of a home. God will bless you....

The White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is located on White Lake near Lake Michigan on the shores of Western Michigan in Muskegon County. The Chamber provides information on area shopping, marinas, boating, golf, beaches, lodging, resorts, cottage rentals, dining, and Western Michigan businessess. We also provide information for Montague MI.
